Hope everyone had a great Easter! Our day started off rainy then Maya fell and hurt her lip and was not in the mood to do anything. Poor baby was shocked from her horrendous fall! I was just as shocked from all the blood! 🙁

Because of the gloomy, rainy weather, we thought that we’d have to do our easter egg hunt indoors, but lo and behold, just as I said in my previous post…..HOUSTON WEATHER IS UNPREDICTIBLE! The sun was shining by late afternoon and we had a wonderful late lunch with neighbors and the kids really enjoyed their hunt AND Maya was a happy girl once again!

Anyways, here was my contribution to Easter lunch…..egg basket cupcakes! I got this idea from a blog I frequent. The lady in charge goes by the name Bakerella (bakerella.com) Go and check out her stuff. She does AMAZING things with cakes, icing and candy!

Maya had so much fun decorating Easter eggs! Mommy had fun taking pictures! 😉

I love this time of year. Although, Houston weather is severely unpredictable! Some days it’s rainy, some cold, some unbearably hot and others, like today, perfect!

Maya and I take advantage of perfect days like this! We have to because we don’t know what tomorrow will bring!

Elena and I were friends in college. We met while working in a shoe store. Unfortunately we lost touch about 4 to 5 years ago but were reunited through Myspace! Today was the first time we got to see each other after so very long! Too long if you ask me!

Elena is a budding photographer in her own right! We decided to spend the day together to shoot each other and give each other pointers and ideas! We had so much fun being silly and being on the other side of the camera! The best part of the whole day was getting to talk to Elena! We chatted like we were never even apart for that long! It was like we picked up where we left off!

I’m looking forward to hanging out again, Elena!

Maya spent her first time in a hotel last week. Since we were not home, I let her get away with wayyyyy too much! She got to jump on the bed, watch too much T.V., go to bed at a late hour, and run up and down the hotel halls! All in all, she had THE time of her life!

The first three pictures are taken in the hotel room. The lighting in there was fantastic! I knew I had to seize the moment!

The other three are from today! My baby LOVES strawberries and LOVES saying “Cheese” with a mouth full of food!
